
Alexandre Rasouli, MD is an orthopaedic spine surgeon at the Cedars-Sinai Spine Center. He specializes in cervical, thoracic and lumbar disorders of the spine, degenerative disorders, spinal trauma, adult and pediatric deformity, spinal oncology, minimally invasive surgery and surgery with computer-assisted navigation.
Dr. Rasouli's discoveries in spinal cord injury treatment have earned him recognition in several top journals and at international meetings. He is the author of many peer-reviewed spine-related articles and book chapters.
After graduating with honors from Stanford University, Dr. Rasouli attended the University of California, Irvine, where he earned his medical degree and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He served as Chief Resident his final year. While in Irvine, he conducted groundbreaking research at both the Beckman Laser Institute and the Reeve-Irvine Center for Spinal Cord Injury.
Dr. Rasouli completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine under the supervision of three world-renowned spine surgeons: Drs. Frank Eismont, Harry Shufflebarger and Barth Green. He received extensive training in orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery techniques and in adult and pediatric deformity.
